Monthly Favourites - September 2013 ♥

Here's what I have been loving in the month of September
First up I have been loving this Body Butter from the Dirty Works brand, I have reviewed many products from this brand and I love it! I would say that they are dupes to Soap & Glory and this Body Butter works wonders on my skin, after showering I apply generous amounts to any dry skin on my body and it really helps and soothes it away. The scent is so scrummy! and the packaging is uber cute! I reviewed it earlier here - link

I love a good face moisturiser and when I was sent this I was excited to try this particularly because it has that brightening factor and I always prefer skincare products that gives that fabulous glow to the skin. I use this daily now just before applying my make up and I feel that this has improved the condition of my skin. This also smells like freshly squeezed orange juice! ^^ Check out my review on this product here - link

If I had to leave the house with only one make up product then I would always choose the concealer. It is so important to find a decent concealer that stays put and covers up all your boo boos. I love this one by Glo Minerals, This duo works fantastically with my skin and it covers pretty much everything. I use the lighter tone to brighten up some areas and the slightly darker tone to conceal, This really matches my skintone and it leaves my skin looking flawless, another win for me! :) Click the link to read my review here - link

One thing that I have been doing more of is a more smokier eye but a subtle one without the eyeshadow. I have been enjoying using this grey eyeliner from L'Oreal to create smokey lines on my lash line and smudged out on my lower lash line. I have been doing less of a cat eye recently and using this technique more. It still adds definition but it is not as prominent. I also love the creamy formula of this pencil, it does not pull at your eye area at all. Grey is the new black! Here is the review here - link

Lastly if I am not using a lipbalm I will probably be using a lip butter, who does not love these? I particularly love this shade, such a cute bubblegum pink colour that looks great on the lips. It really moisturises the lips and it is such an effortless colour that you do not need a mirror to apply this <3 See my review because it will make you want to purchase one (or a
couple) - link

Hope you enjoyed my favourites! What have you been enjoying the most this month? Comment below =^^=

Calvin Klein Tempting Glimmer Sheer Creme Eyeshadow In Vinyl Black // Review & Swatches

Calvin Klein Tempting Glimmer Sheer Creme Eyeshadow In Vinyl Black RRP £15 // I got it for a £1!!!
The gems you find in Poundland though...
I have been seeing alot of these CK eyeshadows on loads of my favourite blogs so I had to buy one (or possibly three)
The first one I bought was this gorgeous black shade, I had no idea how this product was going to be and when I got home and swatched it I said to myself I need to purchase more!!! (then in the next couple of days I bought two more in brown shades, one is a copper shade and the other a deeper brown)
This is a dupe for the Maybelline's color tattoo but this one is the pricier version (if bought at the RRP)
It is quality not quantity with this product because you only get 2.5 grams worth of product which in reality is not alot, but with this a little goes a VERY long way.
The product description basically says that this resists creasing or fading and it delivers high impact colour with a very good longevity.
These are basically cream eyeshadows that have a nice mousse like consistency which is very lightweight and the finish is fantastic.
You can build up the colour but with this one you do not need to because it is that pigmented!
The black has no shimmer but it has this 'wet look' which I am loving, You could also use this as a gel eyeliner, I am yet to try it out with an angled brush. I am loving the versatility of this product!
The staying power is really commendable because it kind of did leave a stain and this was what made me go out to purchase more shades.
Though Calvin Klein is pricier the actual containers are made of plastic and not glass which can raise a few eyebrows but the plastic is of high quality and the weight of the overall product is so light so maybe the product developer had this in mind? after all our make up bags do tend to get heavy (If you like to pack your whole life in there like I do)
Another thing that I liked about these eyeshadows is that when you open the lid there is a seal. This itself has many advantages, one being that you are reassured that nobody has used there fingers to test the product and two this keeps the product from remaining at it's best.

All in all I really loved this product and I do recommend this!
If you have already tried this then I would love to know what you thought about it :)

Amelia's Bath Bombs ~ Whimsical Jasmine Heart Bath Bomb - Princess Pamper ♚

I am finally back and settled in from my amazing anniversary trip and BOY! Was that a loooong journey back! Arriving home I was tired and sleepy and I needed something to release the tension from my whole body so I turned to my bath goodies box and decided to give this bath bomb a try :)
I Love Amelia's Bathbombs ( I reviewed many products previously) and I now am resuming the reviews for this because I have 3 more Bathbombs to review and summer came along so you cannot exactly have a warm bath.
This seemed to be the perfect choice at the time, I wanted something girly and just for me, To spare some minutes (30 mins actually ^^) for myself to de stress and unwind.
This bathbomb is uber cute!! for the inner girly girl that am sure we all are deep inside. Not only does this smell like real Jasmine but it is also covered with glitter!!!
A part of me was worried that it will be a pain to clean in the tub and that I would be covered in glitter but it actually was a breeze to use and I didn't look like a discoball... Win!
When I popped this into the tub, the heart slowly fizzed away leaving a trail of glitter and it changed the water into a subtle shade of pink.
I am happy to say that the scent continued to linger on and I did feel that this was a heavily scented one but in no way did it smell artificial because Jasmine essential oils was used whilst making this bath bomb.
I really enjoyed using this, it instantly reminds you of princesses and fairytales, the scent lingers on throughout the bath and it is not overwhelming and the fact that the glitter isn't OTT but just enough to make the bath water a bit more special and magical <3

Am sure this will be a winner for the teens/younger audience out there so check it out here - link

My Current Wishlist// (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Physician's formula PH matchmaker blusher//NARS concealer//A HUGEEE mug from Debenhams//Pink pointed flats from ZARA//Black Snood from H&M <3

1. Ever since I have seen this blusher I have wanted it soooo much! The compact even lights up!! Who does not want a compact that lights up? But more importantly this blusher claims to create a 'personalised' shade by sensing the PH level of your skin. Neat.

2. I have been saving up for this much talked about concealer, I cannot wait to go to my consultation and find the perfect shade for me :) obviously I still have to finish my current concealers first otherwise I'll 'forget' my current one and just use this, ha!

3. The amount of coffee & hot chocolate I consume in the colder months is insane, I really need a HUGEEE mug as this will just save me from going down to boil the kettle again (lazy I know)

4. I know this footwear is not exactly appropriate for the current weather now but how could you not want these? I am loving pointed flats and this blush pink will look great with a monochromatic ensemble! Did I not mention it's from Zara? :)

5. Ahh I just love snoods, I actually own one but I would love to own a woolly one. This would be perfect to wear on lazy sundays and it keeps you cozy too! H&M currently have alot of colours to choose from but I tend to go for blacks most of the time ^^

I hope you enjoyed reading about my wishlist, I would love to know what is on your wishlist so comment below or send me a link so that I could check it out :)

Revlon Lipbutter In Peach Parfait - Review & Swatches

Revlon Lipbutter In Peach Parfait*//£7.99

The second Lipbutter shade that I own is Peach Parfait, I have reviewed the Pink Lemonade shade here.
Peach Parfait is a lovely shade too, It has a reddish peachy tone with lots of gold shimmer running through it. When I wore this on my lips it was quite hard to detect the colour simply because the actual colour of my lips kind of matches to this shade. I did see a sheen and the shimmer did enhance the look of my lips but no colour pay off for me.
I am sure that if you have little or no pigmentation on your lips then you will be able to reach a full opacity with this one.
You will probably find this shade in my bag the most because it is such a fuss free balm that really requires no mirror and if I want to wear something but nothing too obvious then this is the shade I reach out to.
In terms of longevity this is great! For me it lasts 1- 2 hours which is pretty decent than other lipbalms that disappear the moment you eat or drink something.
I have already commented on other things about lip butters (which can be seen if you click the 'here' bit above from a previous review) so there is no point in repeating myself.
I wanted to show you the swatches and talk about this colour in general.

Did anyone find that this shade matches the colour of their lips? ^^ Comment below!

Super Facialist By Una Brennan - Vitamin C+ Skin Defence Daily Moisturiser

Super Facialist By Una Brennan - Vitamin C+ Skin Defence Daily Moisturiser*//£16.99
I am really taking my skincare regime seriously now, making the effort to use a day and a night cream as well as using other lotions and potions. I am near my mid twenties (in a couple of years) and I have never relied on products as much as I do now. A scary thought and before I ramble on I should cut my story short.
The day cream that I use is the Olay essentials multi radiance and hands down to this one, I have had no issues with it and it is a great base for make up.
Una Brennan is a brand I have never heard of or tried but the Vitamin C brightening claim really appealed to me. I always look for products that can add a glow to my skin.
Una Brennan is recognised as one of the best facialists around and Super Facialist is her range of products that are readily available at Boots :)

Read on to find out more about this product:

How to Use:

Apply liberally to cleansed face, neck and décolleté every morning. Use small upward movements, taking care not to drag the skin. For best results, use daily for a minimum of 3 weeks.

I have to say that I was so far from being disappointed with this cream!
First off the packaging, the bright orange colour can really brighten up your bathroom and the easy pump makes the application hygienic and there is less mess too!
The scent is so uplifting! Smells like Orange essential oils and it does not have an artificial scent.
Applying this was quick too, it absorbed really quickly and the texture is so light. My hands did not feel greasy after application which was great!
I did feel like I had that healthy glow and the more I used this, the more I could notice my skin looking luminous and more youthful then ever before.
There is a whole range of products from the Vitamin C range that I am sure work just as well too!
I am so glad to include this in my daily regime, This is just as important so do not skip your day creams, your skin will thank you for it!
I would recommend this after all it does what is says.

Revlon Lip Butter In Pink Lemonade - Review

Revlon Lip Butter In Pink Lemonade*//£7.99

My first ever lip butter! How could I not opt for this shade? The name just sounded lovely. Wish it did smell like pink lemonade!
I can see why there is a hype about these lip butters, Once you get one you need to have all of them!
The packaging is cute, I love the quilted design on the plastic cover, I like how the lid colour corresponds with the actual lip colour too.
When you apply this on the lips, it actually feels like butter and leaves a glossy shine.
This one leaves a slight pink tint but to achieve a full opacity you will need to re apply a couple of times.

It is a gorgeous bubblegum pink and I feel that this shade will compliment every skin tone. This is quite a milky nudey pink which is great to add into your collection.
In terms of longevity, it wears for 1-2 hours but I have read that each lip butter varies in terms of the shades? I have no idea but for me this is absolutely fine.
My lips feel comfortable wearing this, it is so light that you do not feel like you are wearing any product. I feel that when I wear lipsticks.
I like how this is a fuss free product because you do not need a mirror to apply this, just apply it how you normally would with a normal lipbalm.

I have two other shades that I will be reviewing soon but I think that this will be my only fave.

GlamGlow Mud Mask* - Review

GlamGlow Mud Mask* //Prices vary
I have for you the most talked about face mask that is popular amongst top celebrities.
Boy! Was I excited to try this out!

What it says:
“The Glam Glow tingling and exfoliating mud mask for super sexy super radiant skin”
Designed as a 10 minute anti ageing facial in a jar for behind the scenes use in Hollywood’s entertainment, music, fashion and award industries, for immediate camera ready glowing skin.
Also vegan and free from parabens
Delivers noticeable 3 day glow from skin collagen synthesis, helps diminish fine lines and wrinkles, leaves skin brighter, smooth and soft, multilevel resurfacing exfoliation evens out skin tone, helps tighten skin and minimise pores, absorbs impurities without removing natural oils, helps protect against free radical damage.

Now that is ALOT to live up to and I had to put it to the test.
I adore the black and silver packaging, it is very unique looking and very informative too.
Even though the pot I reviewed was small (9M), the product was still filled up to the brim.
As you can see by the colour, it goes on a deep greyish green but it dries to very pale grey.

It even contains flecks of little green tea leaves (how nice!)
This mask is not smooth in texture because it is a exfoliating one so you have to be careful whilst applying this, just smooth it over your face and do not rub or massage it in.
The mask is quite thick so you do not need alot, just enough for a thin layer.

This has a scrummy herbal scent and I could detect the scent of green tea in this ^^
You will start to feel a tingling sensation and this is just the mask working it's magic to transform your skin into a much fresher and a more renewed complexion.
I found this mask really easy to remove, I used a muslin cloth to gently exfoliate whilst removing the mask.

I was impressed, My skin looked alot brighter and felt amazingly softer too!
I will definitely save this mask for days when I feel my skin needs a bit more than TLC or for a special occasion. I honestly think that this is a miracle worker!
My complexion tightened up too (not the uncomfortable tightness but the good tightness)
I also had some imperfections and bumps on the surface of my skin and that seemed to have said goodbye! ^^

I can understand why the price is sooo steep but hey! am sure a (little) treat is allowed sometimes right?! ;)

Pur Minerals 4 In 1 Pressed Mineral Makeup* - Review

Pur Minerals 4 In 1 Pressed Mineral Makeup* //£24.00

I have always been a fan of mineral make up since it is better for your skin and you can easily achieve that airbrushed look.
I use bare minerals foundation and I love it! Sometimes you may not even need a full coverage foundation and for those days I opt for mineral makeup or pressed powders.

I have tried pur minerals make up before but not a face product so I couldn't wait to try this out!

The product description:
SPF 15 / FPS 15
Clinically proven to correct, prevent and interrupt your skin concerns
Smoothes away the look of lines and wrinkles
Plumps, lifts and firms the skin's appearance
Balances uneven skin tone

Directions: Using the chisel brush, apply in circular motions to achieve an even and flawless finish. Layer as needed for desired coverage.

Using mineral make up can cause a little mess and I hoped that this pressed powder would not cause mess, I can understand that because mineral make up is finely milled so it is bound to happen but with this compact there wasn't alot of mess.
I love how this compact has been designed, a luxe looking compact that has a handy mirror too! It is heavy and sturdy too and this makes the product feel decent.
You won't need to worry about the product crumbling because the packaging is that hardwearing ^^

The coverage can range from medium to full, It blurs out my skin imperfections perfectly though it says that for best results use the chisel brush (also by pur minerals) I did not use that, instead I used my face brush from Bare minerals and I feel that this worked fine in terms of buffing the product in for an even finish. I believe the chisel brush picks up the right amount of product too.

This really minimises the shine and I only needed to touch up after a couple of hours which is fantastic! It does not make any dry patches of skin more visible.
A perk - it contains SPF15.

A lovely powder that is finely milled, takes away shine and all in all a product that is worth investing in.
