OH SNAP! | Weleda Skin Food Cracker* Review

*Streamers not included*

I have heard so much about skin food and I finally got my paws on it! I was so excited to try this and I have got to admit that this stuff means business! After all this is one popular product and I can understand why.

Here is the product description...

Weleda Skin Food is a nourishing and hydrating treatment for the whole body, especially hands, feet and elbows. This marvellous intensive moisture cream is a backstage beauty secret and been around since 1926. Suitable for vegetarians.

Weleda Skin Food is a deep-penetrating replenishing skin repair cream for dry patches of skin and for added protection. Ideal for skin that is dry, flaky and in need of extra care.

Made with organic sunflower seed oil, and extracts of wild pansy, chamomile, calendula and revitalising rosemary extract to perk up tired skin, it is a great rescue remedy for lack-lustre or generally undernourished complexions.

Skin Food is delicately fragranced with refreshing essential oils including sweet orange and lavandulae and is the natural choice for everyday care of the face and body.

It can be used as a protective cream in harsh weather and is excellent for anyone regularly out of doors.

The thing with this cream is that you should use it sparingly because it is that rich in consistency. You can use this on your face and body which is a plus, I would say that if you are going to use this on the face then use small amounts, with the body you can use a bit more since this is more like a thick balm than a cream.
You can even apply this onto your hands/feet as a hydrating treatment, simply apply the balm then cover it up by wearing gloves or socks and leave it on overnight. In the morning your skin will feel more soft and renewed!
Amazing right?
This cold weather can really take it's toll on my skin, especially on my hands and feet so it's nice to own a mini size that is great for on the go application.
This now has a place on my bedside table along with my other bedtime beauty essentials *idea!* - I will post my bedtime essentials soon! ^^
I love the scent of this too! it has this herbal meets citrus scent which is lovely, it may be a bit over powering but it doesn't smell artificial, I actually find it to be quite therapeutic.
These crackers are such a cute gift idea! Makes it perfect for the beauty obsessed friend or as a small treat for oneself :)
I also like how these minis have enough product for you to test out, enough for you to decide whether you love it or hate it.

I pretty much love this and it has become a firm staple in my winter essentials.

Have you tried this?

Danger! Cosmetics To Go Book Launch | Event @ Lush Birmingham

This is one picture heavy post so grab a cuppa & sit comfortably, If you LOVE piccys of Lush products then stay where you are and scroll down ^^

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to an exclusive event @ Lush Birmingham - the launch of the Cosmetics to go book written by Mira Manga.

Cosmetics to go was the company before Lush, The book has amazing vintage imagery, mini personal stories of the workers and alot of information about the products that actually are very similar to the products that we love today. The ethics and ideas behind the products were the same except the actual company because they only ran small mail orders.
Sounds amazing right? I will be reviewing the book in detail very soon!

Mira has put alot of effort into this book, it is like being on a reminiscent journey that is full of colour, images and interesting information. A must read for Lush fans and it's perfect as a coffee table book too. ^^

I was given an amazing tour of ALL of the products by Katarina. I even got to try some of the products and I even saw a demo of the luxury lush pud bath bomb ^^
Katarina really knew her stuff, THE person to see if do not know much about Lush.
I usually go straight to the bath bombs but it was so nice to learn about many of the other products. I absolutely love the christmas collection, too much cuteness to handle (am talking about you melting snowman & christmas penguin!!!)
We also saw the comeback of 'let the good times roll' which is great because I am sure that it is loved by many.
I really enjoyed the walk through of the christmas collection, I was shown ALL of the products up close and personal which was so fun!

I even got my emotional brilliance read, You spin the wheel and then pick three colours that stand out to you the most, trying not to take too long I picked these three colours and this was my colour reading, pretty neat! :)

I definitely prefer rose jam over snow fairy.

I am SO going to buy the Popcorn lip scrub, smelt it and fell in LOVE with the scent!

Can you see the cute lil hearts inside the Santa's lip scrub?

Hands down! The most magnificent looking soap I have ever seen.

This smelt so scrummy!

Luxury lush pud bath bomb demo <3

My favourite part of the tour... Bath bombs!

What a successful event! The staff were so friendly! I really enjoyed seeing the mini sights and smelling the scents @ Lush, Many thanks to Olivia, Mira, Katarina & the staff at lush for having me and making it a wonderful evening for me and the other fellow bloggers.
I was given a generous (and a very heavy) goody bag that included many treats and a copy of the Cosmetics to go book which the lovely Mira signed for me!
I will be reviewing every product that I received so keep your eyes peeled for that!

You can buy Danger! Cosmetics to go here - link for £19.95, available now online and at selected Lush stores across the UK :)

Note: Whilst writing this event up I may have sidetracked by making a wishlist... Oops! ^^

DIY: OTT Glitter Nails

I just love DIY posts and I have made a lil post/tutorial just for you all! ^^

Glittery make up and nails is appropriate to wear now since it is the partay season and I had to share this easy DIY post for the nail art/polish addicts out there!

So lately there have been many brands that have released glittery polishes, I quite like many of them but it all depends on your taste.
If you are on a spending ban then this DIY post will be perfect for you because your nails will be on trend and you do not have to spend a single penny.

Now let's move onto the tutorial that literally is as easy as 123...

1) Gather up some of your favourite glitters, These glitters can be specifically nail art glitters or it can be an arts & crafts glitter. Both are usable. I gathered my faves which included a holographic silver, an intense gold and silver glitter, a multicoloured craft glitter that I mixed together & a shimmer pigment that I don't really use.

2) On fresh, clean nails apply a clear or a coloured polish. You basically need to do this for the glitter to stick so I decided to go for the black since this makes the glitter stand out more but you can choose a nail shade that corresponds to the colour of the glitter, it is really up to you, either way it's just as nice.

3) Quickly sprinkle the glitter onto the nail while the nail polish is wet, add as much as you like and lightly pat it so that it stays and your done!
with the shimmer pigment, I added a clear coat on top and this actually 'melted' the pigment which means that I created my own custom shade polish!

You can experiment with any glitters or shimmers, this is super fun! ^^

I hope that you try this out! It's so fun and easy and the products are readily available at home so you don't really need to buy anything either ^^

I hope you like them!
