Stationery | Erasers
These are insanely cute! Though it looks like marshmallows, it is actually a pair of erasers! Mindblown! I absolutely adore stationery items like this and i really see myself buying a huge haul from them but the only problem is that the stock runs out so quickly so you have to be quick whilst adding things to your shopping basket.
£1.50 -

Office & Stationery | Clifton Rose A6 Diary
You can never have too many cutely designed diaries/notebooks and I really love cath kidston prints. I have to search for places that sell them a bit cheaper, if you know of any places that sell cute stationery then do comment below!
£12 -

Wholesale Ping Long Sleeve Round Neck Women Knitting Sweater One Size.
I also adore asian clothing and this baggy jumper from efoxcity is perfect for loungey days and i love the colours used, very kawaii indeed.
£7.04 -

Scented Gel Ink Pens
I miss these terribly, I found these online but it is so pricey! Who remembers collecting gel pens in school and trading them with your friends? Ahh the 90s... feeling a bit nostalgic over here! Another thing I need to find but a bit cheaper. I loved the uni ball brand for scented gel pens.
£15 -

Cookie Card |Personalised Butterfly
These look so scrummy and it's nice that you can easily buy and order iced biscuits online to have them ordered to your home. These ones by custom cookie look so pretty and I can see myself just casually scoffing a huge amount with some tea...
£10.50 -

Dr Hauschka Limited Edition Chorus Collection For Spring/Summer 2014

There's nothing like seeing a new spring/summer release and when I was kindly sent some of the products from this collection to try out, I couldn't wait to see how the brand Dr Hauschka was seeing as I had never tried any make-up products from them before. Read on to know a bit more about the collection and my initial thoughts.

Collection Description:

Your passion for colour is expressed in this limited edition collection for Spring 2014. Rich hues coordinate with softer tones, while shimmer is tempered with a matte finish to create a harmonious balance. The Chorus Collection offers stunning looks that are spot on-trend, highlighting your natural beauty while caring for the skin with the finest botanical ingredients.

Six playful colours that rise and fall, forming the visible rhythm in nature’s great concert.

The collection is small but the heart of it is the Matte & Shimmer Blush Trio (£29) which consists of three shades - Magic Sandstone, Ecstatic Pink and Confident Berry. The actual shades come in two finishes, matte and shimmer which means you easily contour/highlight your face and even achieve a healthy flush. The colours add natural vitality to your skin and the compact is even enriched with pure essential rose oils.

There are two Eyeshadow Duos (£25*) in Daring Green/Passionate Violet and Ecstatic Pink/Melancholic Blue. The pigment in the eyeshadows are made out of organic silk and medicinal herbs that cares for sensitive skin around the eyes. Each duo features a jewel tone with a softer hue so that you can easily create eye looks to compliment your eyes as it adds luminosity to your eyes by the beautiful shimmer in the pigments.

The lovely Taupe Eyeliner (14.50*) with a added metallic finish really finishes off the eyes by creating definition and a subtle smokey effect if blended out with the sponge applicator. This eyeliner also contains botanical oils and waxes to ensure the eye area is moisturised and well protected too!

For the lips there is the Lipgloss (£15.20*) in Golden Apricot and Lipstick (£20*) also featuring in the shade Golden Apricot. The lipgloss contains beewax, mango butter and apricot kernel oil to ensure lips are hydrated, moisturised whilst looking pretty with the added glimmer and shine. The lipstick can also compliment any skin tone and it's rich composition allows the lips to feel hydrated and comforted with a lovely colour and it's shiny finish. This lipstick is packed with rose blossoms, rose hips, almond oil, apricot kernel oil, jojoba, rose wax, beeswax, candelilla wax and carnauba wax which can only mean that it's really good for the condition of your lips!

I do think that this collection is very subtle and simple in terms of the colour palette that was chosen but I really commend the skin benefits that you will achieve thanks to the amazing ingredients used! Wearing make-up that actually helps your skin condition or just knowing that there are no nasty chemicals can really make you feel at ease. If you are new to Dr Hauschka make up then do give this range a try because the actual quality is fantastic! I will also be reviewing each make-up item separately and in more depth for those of you who are interested in the products.

Dr Hauschka SS14 Chorus Collection available from July at all Dr Hauschka stockists including and wholefoods.

REVIEW | Superdrug's Tropical Smoothie Self-Heating Mask ✎

Face masks are always a must buy in my books, I have tried clay, peel off and cream but the one type of mask that I had not tried was a self heating one. I was very skeptical towards the benefits of a heated mask but then when I was at Superdrug and saw the offer they had on their own branded masks I just had to pick this one up to try, would of been rude not to.

Product description: Turn up the heat! With a tropical blend of apricot, peach and mango oils
Superdrug's Tropical Smoothie Self-Heating Mask warms up to open pores for a deep down cleanse, while the fruit oils help to nourish and hydrate the skin - leaving skin peachy soft.
Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Paraben Free
How to use: Splash face with warm water and leave wet. Gently massage the mask into your face avoiding the lip and eye area. Embrace the warming effect for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and pat dry. Use regularly.
I have tried and loved Montagne Jeunesse masks but I wanted to branch out and try other brands so this was the perfect time to try out a mask and talk about it to you lovely people because I have found a hidden gem of a mask.
Once I opened the sachet, the incredible scent of mango, apricot and peach oils were released and it was such a delight to smell. It smelt like a yummy smoothie and in no way did it smell artificial.
I applied this all over my face, just a thin layer was enough for me, though I did find this mask to be a tad runny which meant I had to apply this quite fast to avoid any mess. I think I may have to find a brush to apply my masks because it will ensure a more even layer and am sure it will feel good in application too.
Once the mask was applied I could instantly feel the heat, this was actually working! It wasn't an uncomfortable heat setting but a more tolerable one. I could just feel this mask working it's magic onto my complexion.
After relaxing and taking in the beautiful tropical scent I then went to wash it off. It was alot easier to rinse off than I had originally thought. This mask does not dry so you have to just time as much as you want to keep it on your face then rinse it off. I kept mine on for atleast 20 minutes which was more than enough to fit in a lil me time.
My complexion felt and looked brilliant. My skin felt smooth, clean and it gave me a lovely glow which I love after using certain masks. My skin also felt comfortable even after rinsing it off because normally I feel discomfort and have to use some sort of a moisturiser to make my face feel comfortable again but the oils used in this mask ensure that even the driest of skins will not feel tight or uncomfortable.
I also did not manage to finish the whole sachet so another plus point is that you can easily achieve two or even three applications out of it. I keep these sachets clipped and stored away in sandwich bags until next time so you can store these but you must remember to use it soon otherwise it can dry out.
I truly recommend these masks from Superdrug, I have my eyes set on the chocolate ones to try next. let's hope I don't end up eating it.
Check it out here - Link//£1.00 for 15ml or 3 for 2 since they are currently on offer!

REVIEW | Clarins Lip Balm Crayons - Creamy Pink,* Sweet Cherry,* Soft Coffee*

Crayon balm style lipsticks are perfect for on the go applications and I can guarantee you that you will always find one or two in my handbag.

Product description:
A creamy texture that glides over the lips to give a natural looking shine and instant hydration that lasts.*
Sheer luminous colour with shea butter that hydrates like a lip balm, comforts like a lipstick and offers the shine of a gloss.
ingredients: Mango, apricot and shea butters: nourishing and smoothing action.

These newest additions from Clarins, the Clarins Lip Balm Crayons* are beautifully formulated lip balms that offer just the right amount of pigmentation for day to even night wear. In total there are six easy to wear shades that come in a super moisturising formula that keeps your lips hydrated with a pop of colour.
Available to buy in a total of six shades, the ones that I have tried 02 Creamy Pink*, 04 Sweet Cherry* and 06* Soft Coffee are all lovely, though I reach out for the creamy pink shade since I love my neutral shades. Even the sweet cherry shade is not as pigmented, you can get away with just a sheer wash of colour if your a bit frightened of bright shades like me.
The tapered shape of these crayons means it is easy to line and fill in your lips without alot of effort which makes it the ideal product to travel with and you can easily build up the intensity from a very light wash to a brighter more visible pop of colour.
Infused with Shea Butter, these are really creamy to apply and perfect for those who find matte lip products uncomfortable on the lips, these give your lips a natural looking shine along with hydration which is a must for the warmer months.

Available to buy online and at Clarins counters in stores such as Debenhams, and Boots, these cost £18 each and should be your summer must have!

REVIEW | Clarins Eau Des Jardins*

When this *NEW* Clarins fragrance popped through my letter box I was ecstatic to try it out because this is my first ever try at a Clarins fragrance and believe me I was not left feeling disappointed.
Clarins have created three fragrances that are fit for this lovely warm summer season - citrus, floral and woody.
The one that I will be reviewing is the floral scent.

Product description:
Uplifts, refreshes, captivates.
A surprising combination of essential oils and plant extracts with aroma and phytotherapy benefits. The sparkling freshness of fruity zests, a captivating note of wild rose and the scent of comforting wood. All the charm of a dream-like garden combined with the skin care benefits of beech, sorbier and blackcurrant bud extracts. Moisturises, soothes and ensures beautifully soft skin.

Clarins also state that each of the three fragrances are unique and that they all offer essential skincare benefits. You instantly feel refreshed and spraying this from top to toe can really enliven your senses, whilst their non-photosensitizing formulas allow for them to be safely worn in the sun.

You can trust Clarins to do such a wonderful thing.
Another interesting thing about this perfume is that it is known as a mood-shifter as the bottle promises to uplift, refresh and captivate. It smells so airy, summery, invigorating and fresh. Its got citrus notes such grapefruit, lemon, orange and bergamot and floral notes like rose, mint and bay leaf and it has a garden, woodsy, beachy smell all in one. It also contains skin care benefits of beech, sorbier and blackcurrant bud extracts which means it moisturizes, soothes and ensures beautifully soft skin. This perfume really has got it all and it really does uplift your mood! one sniff and it automatically makes me happier and leaves me thinking about hot summer days and sandy beaches.

I am also loving the bottle too, the red-orangish colour that meets the yellow-green really makes it look like the ultimate summer scent and not to forget eye catching too!

Clarins have nailed it with these fragrances and I think I have found my signature summer scent, a definitive recommendation from me.

Out And About | York Designer Outlet

Whilst thinking of relaunching Bows and Pearls, I also brainstormed and planned out possible new features to add into my blog and this is one of the new features that i wanted to add - Out and About, where I will document my outings and review possible restaurants/stores and add my other passion into my blog - FOOD
I recently went to visit York with my hubby, his friend and my sister in law, after getting ready we then got into a car and randomly decided to pay this designer outlet a visit and oh em gee! It did not disappoint.
My jaw dropped as soon as I saw the range of shops that were available there to have a browse in, from Hugo Boss to Tommy Hilfiger it sure was lovely to look at those slightly over priced garments.
Whilst the boys looked at t-shirts and jeans, me and the sis went ran over to LK Bennett and tried on ALOT of heels and basic foot wear,we did not want to leave but it sure was lovely to see some unique pieces too!
We also stopped at Ralph Lauren, I ended up going to the kids section and found the most adorable baby set EVER. My wallet would of cried if i had bought it so I just kept this in on my to get list since there's no harm in indulging into higher brands for our lil one later on <3
Lastly there was a shop where some make up brands were semi-discounted and knowing us, it was moments before we swatched all the make up and tested a few samples. I am loving the Estee Lauder blushers, it was SO pigmented that you really only need to use a tiny amount to achieve pretty flushed cheeks. The eye shadows were also a sight to see.
Though it seemed like a short amount of time that we spent there, it really wasn't... after three hours we all had rumbling tummies which ment it was a mini road trip time to Manchester for some good ol grub.
I thoroughly enjoyed my trip here and would love to come again.

Have you been to York's Designer Outlet?

MINI HAUL | Skincare Picks From Superdrug ♥

Simple Eye Roll On £4.99 | Superdrug Face Masks £1 Each

You know when you enter a store just to browse but then you end up picking up a few bits? Well this happened recently whilst 'browsing' in Superdrug and I wanted to share with you all some possible star buys.

Thanks to late nights/feeling hot at night/sleepless nights I had developed even more visible eye bags and darkness around my eyes so I needed a quick fix. I read a couple of reviews about the Simple eye roll on and it seemed promising so I quickly popped this into my basket without having any doubts.

Lastly I picked up these masks since they were on offer, There's always time for pamper time in my books and I like to keep a couple stocked for whenever I feel the need to relax or if my face needs a bit of TLC. These tropical scented masks seemed perfect, though I was tempted to pick up the chocolate ones at first.

I will be reviewing each item in depth later on so expect some skincare reviews soon!

What do you end up 'picking up' whilst browsing drugstores?

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker XL Extreme Plump Lipgloss In How Nude*

I have always been skeptical towards lip plumpers particularly due to the fact that it may or may work, I have heard alot about the surreal tingly feeling you get once you apply soap and glory's plump lip glosses and when this arrived in the mail I knew I had to try this atleast once and experience it for myself.

Product description:
A super-sizing, extra-strength collagen lip shine with LIPSWELL™ natural plant oil infusion, SUPERFILL™ nanovectors and VISIVOLUME™ immediate effect lip filler

First off, I adore the packaging, it's so informative and retro looking at the same time so it definitely catches your eye rather than a normal lipgloss would.

Caution - This lipgloss will almost immediately plump, buzz, tingle and zing. (It’s not for the meek of mouth).

On first application I noticed a scrummy chocolate scent which I quite liked, it's not too overpowering but the scent sure is existent.
The shade is a gorgeous nude, almost caramel-nude with small gold shimmers which really flattered my skintone and it is way far from the 'concealer' type nude, it also seemed to enhance my natural lip colour too since my lips are a bit pigmented but the colour was still able to show through.
I have to admit, this is one thick gloss! Quite sticky too which I wasn't pleased about, it sure does stay put on the lips but it didn't feel comfortable nor light, it just felt like I was wearing product on my lips and I dislike that feeling.

So does it actually plump up the lips?

Well, I didn't notice much of a change, however, I certainly got the 'electric buzzing' sensation which was horrible. It was quite intense for me probably because I have never used a lip plumper before. The sensation lasted for nearly 15 minutes as well and immediately after it stopped, I checked to see if there was any 'change' or extra fullness to my lips but it looked the same and I went to remove it! To add to the over the top sensation, this was incredibly sticky and wouldn't come off with just water. For me personally, these are a definite miss! Such a shame because the range has lovely colours and the scent is quite pleasant but that's the beauty of testing products out because not everything will work how you would of liked it to.

High End Beauty Wishlist ✍

High End Beauty Wishlist

Nars cosmetics - Sheer glow foundation
£24 -

I need me some liquid foundation asap and this one seems to be loved by many, as much as I heart my bare minerals foundation I do miss liquid foundation and this gives you a healthy dewy glow which I am loving at the moment.

Nars cosmetics - Lipgloss
£20 -

This lipgloss in the shade turkish delight needs a new home, it is such a beautiful shade of pink, almost a nude/milky pink which is one of my go to shades other than nudes. This is loved by many bloggers and even celebs so I had to add this into my wishlist.

Plantscription concealer
£17 -

I have heard many things about this concealer and if you know me well then you will know that I go through concealers fast because it is such a daily essential. I have never tried origins before and I would love for this to be the first product to try. Let's hope there are shades to match my yellow toned asian skintone.

Beauty product Eye cream
£40 -

A must buy I believe. I really need a good eye cream for hydration and to eliminate my dark circles. I have tried many eye creams but I am hoping to get something with a bit more of a price tag, who knows this may be the one I am looking for. I really want to get rid of the darkness that is underneath my eyes and if it means that I have to buy something like this then so be it.

Dior Addict It-Line
£24.50 -

Whilst browsing the dior website I came across this possible crowd pleaser, a brand new liquid liner that is also in form of a gel seems like such a luxurious liner, I am in love with the shades available and the packaging too. A possible mommy to be treat? who knows...

Have you tried any of these products? If so please comment below and share your views with me!

Monthly Favourites | June 2014

Time doesn't seem to be slowing down, my goodness! Is it already July?!? I love the summer months and I try to make the most of soaking in that vitamin D since the UK does not really get sunny days as much. How I missed posting my monthly favourites so here's a fresh new post waiting to be read by you!
Here's July's round up...

L'Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes Excess Black Mascara*//£10.99
I am forever changing my mascaras but this one seems to be the one I reach out for the most. From the sleek red and gold packaging to the way it makes my eyelashes look ultra dramatic, what's not to love? I can easily achieve volume and definition with this beaut! If you have not given this mascara a try then I definitely recommend that you do!

Lush Gorgeous Moisturiser*//£39.95/45g
Now this was actually a lil sample pot that was given to me in a goody bag at a Lush event and I have only just started to actually love this product! This is my first ever try at a lush face moisturiser and am sure it won't be the last! This cream is so luxuriously thick but in no way is it greasy, it soaks into the skin pretty quick and really soothes and comforts my dry pregalicious skin. It's not the cheapest thing in the world but the ingredients that are used are really effective and you'll have comfortable and healthy looking skin within moments.

Benefit's The Porefessional*//24.50/22ml
Warmer days calls for primers! I usually skip the priming part of my daily routine but now since it's getting hotter I need a good product to prep and prime my face and so I turn to this. This primer is amazing at keeping my make-up on for longer and I love how this minimises my pores to ensure a flawless application every time. One more thing! I love that this tinted primer can be used on any skintone because it blends out beautifully and it leaves my skin feeling velvety smooth. WIN!

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Lotion For Stretch Marks//£3.15/250ml
This one is for all the mommy to be's out there, There's just nothing more satisfying than smothering this all over your baby bump, this feels so lightweight in texture and it smells like chocolate! Ever since I have been in my second trimester I have been loving and using this every night before going to bed. This is also great for when you are feeling discomfort/tight skin around your bump. It seems to keep my stretch marks at bay so this is a definite recommendation from me.

So...? In Love Body Spray//£1/75ml
This 'accidentally' fell into my basket whilst perusing in poundland. I have to admit the packaging really caught my eye so I ended up buying it and thought i'll see how the scent is but little did I know that the scent is so summery and fresh, it's so fruity and perfect to pop into your bag and spray when you want to feel revitalised. A must buy for sure and bargain-a-licious too!

What have you been loving in the month of June?

It truly feels good to be back.
I posted back in march this year and taking time out has really refreshed my thinking towards blogging and now I can officially say that Bows and Pearls will resume just like before! I may even feature baby hauls and add more lifestyley posts!
Now enough with the rambling! and back to the beauty side of things.
I have alot of lovely high end products to review (see image above) I was so kindly sent these products to try and I cannot wait to share my views with you all!
