90s Lovin'

Boy do I miss the 90s! The gimmicky toys to the novelty style packaging. I thought it would be fun to take a trip down memory lane and talk about what I love and missed the most about the 90s.

Easy make-up
Think peel off nail polish and roll on lipglosses that smelt so ever so fruity! I remember loving a shop called Girl Heaven that used to sell the cutest lil bottles of peel off nail polishes in bowls that you could actually buy like pick and mix sweets! Also remember those pastel coloured eyeshadow palettes that used to come with a smell of plastic, I miss those! When I used to receive this I would feel on top of this world because this was when I first used to start experimenting with colours, monday would be a lilac look with glitter on the top and friday, possibly a duck egg blue look complete with fuchsia pink lips... I also really miss the glitter babes collection from Boots and I was like obsessed! Particularly with the sweet berry scent, bring this back!!!

Plastic jewellery
Remember those bracelets that were transparent and had glitter running through them? or those pastel coloured jewellery sets that you would play with for hours on end? We saw the return of chokers and I was so happy to see it back! I remember having a purple and a black one that had a matching bracelet and ring with it. I did of course purchase a choker but a more updated version, with lace and gems.

Stick on earrings
Ahh man I would forever buy these and just keep them because they were so pleasing to look at. I have seen some stick on earrings in Accessorize but they are so ridiculously overpriced! I had loads of pastel coloured one and bright holographic ones. Which one did you have?

Polly Pocket
You cannot beat the classic Polly Pocket. Polly pocket now seems so glamourised and it's not even a small compact anymore! The pastel compacts were so aesthetically perfect. I had so many favourites but my most favourite was the one with the two cats, I believe it was pastel pink heart shaped. Another one I remember playing with alot was the arabian princess inspired one that had hot pink decor and a gem on the compact. Luckily I have still got the pets one. It looks amazing on my dresser. What was your favourite Polly Pocket?

Cereal box surprises
OK this seriously needs to come back. I swear every food product had some sort of hidden surprise. Even crisps had collectable pogos or pringles boxes! Ugh! I remember collecting stamp markers from a box of Weetos cereal and I believe I nearly had the whole collection! I remember finding a super pink pringles box and showing it to all of my friends, haha!

Magazine subscriptions and quirky stationery
The one that really changed my childhood and I think everyone's was Sabrina Secrets! I made sure I put my name down to collect a issue every fortnight with my local newsagent. I remember being so mesmerised by the first issue. I still remember that dark purple box and that silver nail art pen.
I also remember those magic markers you know the ones that change colour by using a white marker. I have spotted a pack in Poundland and I am so going to buy one ^^

Hope you enjoyed reading this 90s themed post, what did you love the most about the 90s? Comment below <3

Poundland Finds July 2019

Who doesn't love a good poundland haul?! I don't go as often as I would like to but when I do go, I find such cute beauty/lifestyle items that clearly have my name written on it.

Other than buying the usual snacks and sweeties, I found these four products that I am so glad I picked up. First up in the bargain area I found a cute wooden door hanger that says 'Do not disturb pamper session in progress' probably something I didn't really need but it only costed 50p! and I loved the pink writing so I ended up putting this in my basket.
Next up, in the same section I found these love scratch cards which I believe are from Poundland's valentine's day collection. I did of course see the collection in February but I didn't pick these up. at 50p I thought might aswell grab these and write some notes for my OH.
The two beauty products that really caught my attention was the Collection mascara and MUA lip palette. Poundland sometimes stocks well known brands so it's like finding hidden gems, each time you visit you'll definitely find something new. So far I have found and bought a L'Oreal mascara, Rimmel mascara, Montagne Jeunesse face masks and Lottie London nail polishes! So it's definitely worth popping in store.

There were three lip palettes to choose from but I chose the one with the different shades of pink ^^ I really like this little compact. Easy to use on the go and it leaves a lovely tint of colour. I will review this in detail soon!

Lastly I found a Collection mascara duo, one side is a white primer mascara to use before applying the black mascara. I checked online to find the rrp and this would of costed £6!!! and it is currently available in Superdrug! See what I mean.

Hope you enjoyed my mini haul, have you found any big brands in Poundland?

Mini The Body Shop Haul

I do love the body shop. From their body lotions to face masks,it's great to just pop in store to look at the ranges and try out their skincare/make-up.

It was sale season so I made sure to pop into my local store and see what I could grab. There were two full areas of items that were upto 50% off. I really wanted to try out something from the banana range and I found this mini Banana Body Butter half priced and it was the last one! It was just meant to be mine ^^

With the body shop, I really prefer to try out minis first. Just to see how it works for my skin/hair and if i really enjoyed using something I would definitely treat myself to a full sized product.

Now, the other two minis: Strawberry Conditioner and Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel were actually free! Yes, you read that right!!! What's great is that the body shop regularly send out emails with freebies that you can collect directly from the store. So make sure to sign up. Recently it was a holiday mini themed freebie so me and the OH went to pick ours up. I went for the conditioner and he opted for the shower gel. These minis are worth £2 and it has a generous amount to try.

I will definitely review the Banana Body Butter soon since it's something I am really looking forward to trying out. The Banana range is specifically for dry hair/skin. It's super nourishing which means it will make your hair and skin super soft, feel protected and smoother. The full sized is priced at £15/200ml see the full sized product here - link

Have you bought anything from the body shop lately? I would love to know!

Eczema Honey* | Brand Spotlight

Real talk. No one likes dry and uncomfortable skin. Whether it be due to weather or eczema, it's just not nice and what's needed is a product to soothe and treat the area concerned.

I was contacted by Eczema Honey to see if I would like to try some of their products. After reading many reviews online I decided to go for the Gentle Face and Body Stick £12* and Nourishing Lipbalm £6*. I knew I would really use these products and incorporate them into my skincare routine. I personally do not suffer from Eczema but I do get dry skin, especially in the colder months.

More about Eczema Honey
Our mission is to deliver soothing products that are safe, non-toxic, and highly nourishing. We believe in providing products that yields tangible results that you can see and feel — and we believe in the power of nature to make these results possible.
Every ingredient in our products has been selected because of the high quality and serves a specific therapeutic purpose. We do not use fillers of any kind. In other words, almost every ingredient we use is an “active” ingredient and contributes to providing eczema relief.
We take great pride that all of our formulas are original, created by us from scratch with an emphasis on high-quality and food-grade ingredients.

Gentle Face and Body Stick
I chose this particular product because of how easy it is to use and travel with. This twist up product allows you to apply the stick lotion with ease and without mess. You can use this on the face, body and the rougher spots such as the elbows or the heels of the feet.
This contains Mango butter, Coconut oil and vitamin e which allow the stick to glide easily and really nourish the skin.
Use as often as needed for that instant boost of hydration.
The ingredients work together to comfort, nourish and hydrate the skin. The essential oils are added for aromatherapy which is a great idea.
I love how easy it is to use this! You can easily pop this in your handbag and use whilst travelling. The minimal design is still striking to the eye and it's not tested on animals! This feels great particularly on my heels since I am mostly on my feet all day. I can feel the lotion getting to work as soon as I apply it.

Nourishing Lipbalm
Lips are given an instant boost of hydration thanks to the really good ingredients. I use so many lipbalms but none really helped chapped lips or kept the dry skin at bay... not like this one has. I literally keep this with me everywhere and I apply so many layers before bed. I have seen great results because I haven't had any dry skin since.
This power packed lipbalm contains: Mango butter, Olive oil, Vitamin e oil, Organic Honey,Beeswax,Colloidal Oatmeal and essential oils. The added peppermint oil really makes this lovely to apply. All Eczema Honey products are paraben free,SLS free,Phthalates free and Petrolatum free!!

Overall thoughts
I truly love these products. whether you have eczema or you suffer from really dry skin... this is the company I would really recommend because it really works. I used to use vaseline but that used to just sit on top of the skin and not do anything but after using these products I have definitely seen change. The natural and safe ingredients really deliver the results and if you don't believe me, you can visit the Eczema Honey website to see so many before and after photos to written reviews from everyone across the globe.
