Shop Small Businesses | Tara Cosmetics

Hi lovelies, hope you all are well!

Today's post is about small business appreciation. The other day I was browsing local makeup businesses and this one really caught my eye. The pink aesthetic, the handmade lipglosses and the way Tara Cosmetics advertised her products. It wasn't even my intention to buy anything but then within the next minute, I added two lipglosses into my cart and I am so glad I did.

Tara has really put so much effort into her packaging too! I love how everything matched so well, from the ever so cute pink paper bag, thank you stickers, the business card and the extras that came in my parcel too. It's so nice when businesses add a lil extra. I got two adorable stickers and a jolly rancher candy, how sweet?!

Now onto the actual lipglosses, I chose the strawberry shortcake (on the left £2.80) and floral (on the right £2.49) I really adore both of these, the strawberry shortcake is super moisturising and has the most yummiest scent ever, smells just like sweet strawberries and the scent isn't even overpowering. This has a slight light pink tint but it comes out slightly clear on the lips. The cute strawberry decals adds a nice touch and makes it a visually pretty product to look at. I love how you can choose which packaging you want the lipgloss to come in, I chose the candy tube.
Floral is such a stunning gloss, this rose scented gloss is so hydrating and I love how you can see the dried rose petals and gold leaf. When I checked the ingredients, I was amazed that it didn't even contain that many things, just good old fashioned natural/organic oils and flavourings.
The price is just right because you get quite alot of gloss for the price and for the effort that is put into making these. Tara Cosmetics also sells other aesthetically pretty lipglosses and body butters so it's a lovely range of face and body products to try out.

I would definitely recommend checking out Tara Cosmetics, there is something for everyone and you wouldn't be disappointed! I love my products so much and I keep my lipglosses in my purse at all times.

Until next time! Take care you lovely lot! xx

Boots Beauty Haul

Hi lovelies, hope you all are well!

Bringing it back to what I love to post, a haul! A while back I visited my Boots store to simply pick up a pack of face wipes but then I ended up browsing the make-up section and I came back with some new products *major face palm*

It ok though since there was on offer on many brands plus I needed a new eyebrow pencil. You honestly just cannot win.

So here's a round up of what I bought!

Soap and Glory Archery Pencil in 'Brown'

Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in 'Birthday Suit'

Frank Body Original Lip Scrub

Soap and Glory Archery Pencil £6.66* was a third off!

I really love S&G but one product I didn't try was this. It was meant to be because only these were on offer and the shade matches the colour of my brows. On one side of the pencil you have the highlighter that is used to create the illusion of higher and tidier brows and the other, a brow shade to fill and define the brows. The formulation is very workable, creamy and a great product to use on the go.

Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in 'Birthday Suit' £2.49* was half price!

I have heard great things about Sleek's lip products and seeing as they were half price so why not. I opted for the shade Birthday Suit and it is such a me kinda shade. A warm nude rose pink that applies beautifully and is very pigmented! This is Sleek's no 1 best selling lip product and I can definitely see why! It feels super light and you don't even have to build up the colour. A great addition to my collection and I will, for sure check out the other colours.

Frank Body Original Lip Scrub £11.95

A lip scrub was on my to buy list, I have heard of Frank Body before but I have never tried anything from them. This lip scrub is so nice! Smells like coffee beans  and doesn't feel harsh when scrubbing. It's a good size and great for travelling with too! This Australian beauty company has such a cute pink aesthetic and this lip scrub is loved by many. It's even cruelty free!

So that was my mini and very accidental beauty haul haha! Have you tried any of the products that I have bought? Comment below!

H&M Beauty Review

Hi lovelies! Hope you all are safe and well!

Back to my most favourite type of post, a make-up review! I was purchasing some clothes in the winter sale and I was curious to see what was in the beauty section, some of the products were 30 to 50 percent off and the two products that really caught my eye was the concealer and the blusher. I have never tried H&M beauty before so I was definitely excited to see how they would perform along with my other daily favourites.

Product description:

A creamy concealer with a practical cushion applicator for medium, buildable coverage with a natural finish. The lightweight formula helps to correct minor imperfections and dark circles under the eyes. 2.2 ml. How to use: Apply on its own or after foundation or primer.

A soft powder blusher that blends easily for a natural, healthy-looking glow. The sheer formula offers buildable coverage and comes in an array of elegant shades to match any skin tone. 5 g. How to use: Apply alone or after face primer and powder.

First up, the concealer! I was really confused as to what shade to choose because I never buy foundation/concealer online, I was too afraid of the shade being too light or to dark but after a careful judgement I opted for the shade 'Soft Sand' and after ordering I just kept thinking that I really hope it matches my skin tone because I really needed a daily concealer to use. When it arrived I quickly opened up the packaging and swatched it on my face and I cannot tell you how relieved I was to see that it actually matched my skin tone perfectly! I was yet to find one that actually matched me properly without having to mix it with another shade. So after testing the colour match I went on and applied it under my eyes and wherever I felt there was some redness. This concealer is super creamy and a dream to blend! It really reminds me of the Nars radiant creamy concealer which used to be my holy grail until I converted to the Make Up Revolution concealer loving community. This feels super light, not greasy at all and covers up pretty much any imperfection so well. The best part? it only costs £6!! I also forgot to mention that the applicator is so good! It's bendy so you are able to apply the concealer easily in all contours and corners, if this had a stiff applicator I would have had to use a brush to apply and blend but I found that it doesn't require so much effort as my other concealer.

It doesn't crease into any fine lines and feels super hydrating too! The consistency and texture really was fabulous and just like a high end product, this truly lived up to it's product claims.

Now what I really loved about this is that it looks so dewy yet natural on me, perfect for the no make-up make-up look if that is what you are trying to achieve. I don't like or wear heavy make-up so this is perfect for my make-up bag and I have been reaching out to it daily ever since! In total there are a huge 23 shades available in the range which is pretty good for a high street brand. You will definitely find a shade to suit your skintone, from the fairest of skintones to the most deepest.

Now onto the blusher! This product really caught my eye, from the shape of the compact to the range of colours. The glossy black hexagon shape really stands out from the rest and I love that the h&m logo in placed right in the middle. The compact also has a very good sized mirror and I chose the shade 'Hot Pink' and this shade literally screams barbie vibes! I love a good deep pink blush since it makes you look so fresh and healthy. The pigment is very buildable and you can totally decide the look you are going for, from just a pop of colour to a full on look. The pigment is ultra fine and silky and so easy to use. I actually feel like it performs just like a high end blusher. I also noticed slight shimmer and it looks so gorgeous on. Nothing too glitzy but perfect! Altogether there are 14 shades to flatter any skin tone and this is currently half price too! At only £4 this is a real steal! Originally each blusher costs £8.99.

This was my first ever time trying H&M cosmetics and I truly am impressed. Both of the products have a really long lasting power, the packaging is well made, doesn't feel cheap and the texture and pigment of both the products feels so high end. I really think the product description matches it seamlessly and I know I will definitely try more products from H&M!
